Every five weeks I will do 1 assignment out of this handbook called ‘How to be an Explorer of the World’. This books states that every person is an artist and with little things it encourages you to be creative. I’m curious, don’t know what to expect exactly… but let’s go

The assigment:

Document any naturally occuring faces you find on your travels. Look for them in everything.

What did it teach me?

At first I found it hard to see faces in inhuman things. I could not look past the original thing, a house with windows for example. However, once I saw the first few faces I kept finding them. I saw faces in houses, light buttons, buildings, flower boxes and even in piano keys. For me, this exercise teaches that you sometimes have to force yourself to look past the given facts. You know what a house looks like, but what else do you see in it? This message counts for almost every situation, you have to have an open-minded view on things in order to stay creative!

Always wonder,

Simone
