Every five weeks I will do 1 assignment out of this handbook called ‘How to be an Explorer of the World’. This books states that every person is an artist and with little things it encourages you to be creative. I’m curious, don’t know what to expect exactly… but let’s go
The assigment:
Place an object or a series of objects in your pocket. Describe them using only touch.

What did it teach me?
I thought it would be a good idea to do this exercise with an object that I know very well. I use my keys everyday so you would think that I know what they feel like, right? Well, some details about my keys did surprise me. I did not know that the black top of one of my keys had so much wear to it. It could feel that immediately but never really noticed it before. Also it became aware of the fact that holding my keys actually is a safe feeling for me. Because I use them so often I have gotten very attached to them. Even writing this, I find it weird but that is how I felt. This exercise mostly made me realise that everyday object that you use without thinking about it can eventually mean a lot to you. As materialistic as that message may sound, I think it is a beautiful thing to be aware of what these things mean to you.
Always wonder,
Simone
